Cai Yuanze, from Deqing, Zhejiang Province, was a modern expert of mining and educator in China. He enrolled in Nan Yang Public School when he was fourteen, and later he studied in Peiyang University. In 1907, he went to the United States furthering his study in MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and gained his Master’s Degree of Mining. Afterwards, he entered Columbia University to study Accounting where he received another Master Degree.
His administration of Peiyang Institute of Technology was from 1930 to 1932.
