TITLE: Assistant Director Program Planning and Review
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China

JOB PURPOSE:
Organize application processes to Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) to seek approval of program offerings in the Shenzhen Institute. Coordinate and maintain annual program reviews both internally at the Institute and for any required program reviews by the MOE. Serve as the primary point of contact for the Institute’s academic program review in China. Monitor processes in regard to MOE and local policies for program accreditation and compliance. Coordinate with Institute leadership and faculty committee on the development of Faculty Handbook. Responsible for the development and maintenance of functional data resources to support the strategic planning and policy making processes at the Institute.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE:
This position will interact on a regular basis with: Institute leadership, faculty, staff and students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain processes for the approval, modification, review, and reporting of academic degree programs to the MOE and local governments.
Advise Institute leadership on strategic issues and policies affecting academic programs.
Coordinate with Institute leadership and faculty committee on the development of Faculty Handbook, consistent with the Institute’s goal of becoming a world-class education and research organization.
Supervise the production and documentation of institutional analyses and reporting on various topics, including students, faculty, research, finance, academic program review, benchmarking, and others.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Degrees required for this job: Bachelor's Degree.
Years of experience required for this job: At least eight years of job related experience
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
This job requires knowledge and skills related to educational program management and administration; oral and written communications; strong project management and process improvement skills; organization and attention to detail. Experience in higher education environment is required.
TITLE: Government and Community Relations Manager
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China
SALARY: Highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
JOB PURPOSE:
Initiate and organize activities to establish, maintain and strengthen productive relationships between the Institute and various government and community representations to include city government offices, provincial government agencies, business entities, organizations, and Tianjin University main campus.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE:
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: government officials, representatives of the business community, faculty, staff, students, Tianjin University.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Pay external visits to government offices to communicate Institute priorities and progress.
Serve as a representative of the Institute and convey strategic priorities at local government and other key stakeholder meetings.
Coordinate with Institute leadership and local government to resolve issues that may arise during the Institute establishment and campus construction processes.
Promote the Institute’s image and reputation via print and web resources.
Coordinate with Tianjin University to assist faculty on assignment to Shenzhen to include relocation, fringe benefits, logistical and family support.
Coordinate with Tianjin University and thesis advisors to support double degree students studying at the Institute.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
Knowledge of and skill in establishing and maintaining strong local government relations at the university level. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as organization, interpersonal relations and project management.
TITLE: Academic Program Manager
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China

JOB PURPOSE: Oversee administrative and logistical support to an academic degree program under the Institute. Facilitate the various actions required to successfully offer and conduct the academic program. These actions range from student recruitment and retention to program development.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: students, parents, faculty, and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Oversee student recruitment/program promotional event preparation.
Supervise/provide advice for students and prospective students regarding program offerings and academic progress.
Prepare and disseminate communications materials regarding programs.
Prepare and maintain student records.
Assist international students, faculty and staff with cross-cultural adjustment issues.
Schedule and coordinate student events.
Prepare reports related to program performance.
Review program processes and procedures, recommend modifications as appropriate.

TITLE: Accountant
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China

JOB PURPOSE: Verify and post a variety of financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and Institute policy. Generate related schedules and reports and maintain accounting records.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE:
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: employees, vendors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Verify the accuracy of accounting related documents such as invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, etc.
Process invoices for payment.
Process reimbursement requests.
Compile and verify the accuracy and validity of accounting data; resolve discrepancies.
Prepare financial schedules and reports.
Maintain financial records.

TITLE: IT Support Professional

Install, maintain and upgrade workstation and peripheral hardware and software.
Respond to and resolve workstation, application and server related problems.

Facilitate the various actions required to successfully offer and conduct academic programs. Travel and logistical support to visitors especially international visitors.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: faculty, staff, students, and office visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Compose routine correspondence; prepare and route correspondence, reports and other documentation.
Compile and organize data for use in reports.
Plan meetings and other events to include scheduling, reservations, arrangements, etc.
Maintain office supplies inventory.
Ensure classrooms and A/V equipment are in good working order.
Print/photocopy class materials upon request from instructors.
Make travel arrangements for faculty and staff as directed.
Provide logistical information to program visitors in advance.
Provide logistical assistance to international visitors upon request, for example, airport meet and greet, visitor apartment check-in and check-out processes, initiation processes for banking, telecom, transportation etc.
Assist international visitors with visa, residential permit, lodging registration etc.
Assist international visitors in case of illness or emergency.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
