Theme: Design Education Strategies for the Era of Design 3.X

About the Symposium: With the rapid development in education and economy all over the world, the realm of industrial design in China has stepped into a new era that is characterized by interdisciplinary knowledge integration. In order to steer the development of future industrial design, it is essential to set strategic objectives on design education, and make systematic long-term planning on educational policy, innovative talents training, curriculum development, as well as the integration of “teaching, practicing, and research”. Aim at further promoting the internationalization of industrial design in Tianjin University and continuously exploring innovative methods for its educational reformation, we will host the 4th International Symposium on Design Education in 2017. The symposium would like to cordially invite renowned scholars and experts in industrial design to carry out in-depth analysis and discussion on the design education strategies in the Era of Design 3.X.
