Lecture: Dynamic 3D reconstruction and animation

About the Lecture: Dynamic 3D reconstruction and animation is a longstanding hot topic in the field of computer graphics and multimedia information processing. The omni-directional cognition of variable angle and motion can bring people visual stereoscopic feeling, immersion and freshness, thus dynamic 3D reconstruction have wide application prospect in military, medical, sports, entertainment and other fields. This report mainly introduces my research work in three aspects:

1) Dynamic 3D scene reconstruction based on multi-view video: we built a multi-view and multi-illumination acquisition system and put forward two non-marking dynamic scene 3D reconstruction methods that guarantee accuracy, Integrity and dynamics. For the first time, the low frame rate camera system is used to achieve dynamic 3D reconstruction with high time resolution and full angle.

2) 3D reconstruction based on single RGB-D camera: a non-rigid registration method based on sparse representation is proposed to fuse and optimize the asynchronous multi-view point cloud. Meanwhile, the method is robust to the scenario in which there exists large difference between the actions of different perspectives.

3) Data-driven realism animation: we proposed a novel realistic animation generation method with single RGB-D camera as collection device, which breaks the shackles of traditional animation generation methods and opens up a new road.

The data collection of the work was carried out with the support of the trade union, and the trade union provided a venue for system construction and data collection at the cultural faculty activity center of Weijin Road Campus. Thank you!
