Recently, the list of one hundred national virtual simulation centers in 2015 was announced, and Tianjin University’s Electrical Engineering and Automation Virtual Simulation Center gets approval.

Tianjin University’s Electrical Engineering and Automation Virtual Simulation Center is supported by the Tianjin University’s Electrical and Electronic Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center.

In accordance with the “one body with two wings” experimental management structure and the “three-three system”, the center further innovates experimental teaching system, virtualizes the teaching experimental contents, develops virtual teaching resources including high voltage, micro grid, aerospace, multiphase flows and robot technology. It also extends the fundamental subject-specialty experiments such as electrical machinery, digital circuits and analog circuits, improves the integrated experiments inclusive of substation and production line, advances the experimental teaching system, and increases the experimental efficiency and student interests.

The center integrates the science and technology achievements, develops the virtual experimental resource “aerospace in sea, land, and air”, and realizes the virtual and simulation teaching technology of high voltage “transmission and distribution”. In the center, an experimental teaching contents combines well with scientific research and technology development. It cultivates graduates with integrated knowledge structure that meets social requirements.

So far, Tianjin University has formed a three-level system of virtual simulation center composed of three national simulation centers, one Tianjin municipal simulation center, and one university simulation center. National virtual simulation centers include Chemical Engineering and Technology Virtual Simulation Center, Precision Instruments and Petroleum Virtual Simulation Center, and Electrical Engineering and Automation Virtual Simulation Center. Tianjin virtual simulation center is Naval Architecture and Ocean Virtual Simulation Center. And one university simulation center is Modern Management Virtual Simulation Center. This three-level system of virtual simulation center promotes the teaching level of Tianjin University’s virtual simulation experiments.
