Chen Baosheng, former Minister of Education and current member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), led a delegation to the Virtual Simulation Teaching Center for Ideological and Political Courses at Tianjin University. The investigation focused on the development of digital ideological and political education.

The delegation included CPPCC members Cao Jun, Zhang Jingze, Zhang Jinying, Wang Zhongliang, and Li Li, along with officials from the Ministry of Education. They were accompanied by Tianjin University Party Secretary Yang Xianjin, Deputy Party Secretary Lei Ming, and Sun He, Party Secretary of the School of Marxism. Wang Lei, Director of the Virtual Simulation Teaching and Research Department, provided an in-depth tour.

Chen Baosheng inspected the center’s teaching, practice, and experimental areas, which aim to integrate artificial intelligence and modern information technology into ideological and political education. The center uses virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, and other advanced technologies to create immersive, interactive learning experiences. These efforts support the innovative teaching of courses as well.
