“The rich and diverse ethnic culture of Guizhou deeply attracts me, and the beautiful memories here will be unforgettable for a lifetime,” shared Malaysian student Lin Zhanyong, who was excitedly video-calling his family to share his impressions of the stunning province. Recently, Tianjin University organized a trip for 26 international students from 12 countries, including Malaysia, Pakistan, Georgia, and Somalia, to explore Guizhou, uncovering local historical sites, learning about cultural narratives, and understanding the secrets behind China’s rapid development.

The group explored the Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, where students engaged with locals. Tajikistan’s Ismail greeted villagers in Miao, expressing enthusiasm for cultural exchange. In the village, students listened to elders share stories of local development, prompting Bangladeshi student Wang Li to appreciate China’s rural revitalization efforts.

In Qingyan Ancient Town, the students were enchanted by traditional architecture and local cuisine. Many tried on ethnic costumes for photos, while others enjoyed learning about Miao handicrafts.

Overall, the trip left a lasting impression on the international students, who expressed their desire for more people to understand Guizhou’s beauty and cultural richness. “I believe the future here is bright!” said Ilya from Georgia.
