On May 10th at Peiyangyuan Campus, the concluding selection process for the 30th Tianjin University’s “Top Ten Outstanding Youth (Students)” took place.
The selection commenced in March 2024. A total of 16 candidates presenting 14 schools (colleges) participated in the final election, following the schools (colleges) endorsements, self-introduction of students, and the preliminary selection. Kep preventatives from the Office of Student Affairs and additional departments, along with heads managing student affairs from each school (college), attended the activity as teacher judges, and nearly 300 student representatives from each school attended as student judges.
Through on-site voting, Tianjin University “Top Ten Outstanding Youth (Students)” and six nominees were ultimately selected. Meanwhile, three Best Popularity Awards were decided through internet voting.
During the ultimate selection phase, aspirants showcased their remarkable accomplishments and developmental tales in fields including scholarly research, social work, innovation and entrepreneurial venture, volunteer assistance, and artistic and athletic endeavors.
The group includes a scientific pioneer who addressing technical challenges, the social welfare worker who is dedicated to rural revitalization and teaching support for poverty alleviation, the “good all-rounder” with comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor. They exhibit Tianjin University student; cheerful and outstanding persona.
The selection and commendation event for the “Top Ten Outstanding Youth” of Tianjin University spanned thirty consecutive sessions and serves as a pivotal event in selecting youth individuals and fostering their development.
