On October 30, Redi Shtino, deputy minister of education, sports and youth in Albania, led a delegation to visit Tianjin University.

During the meeting, Tianjin University’s Vice President Gong Jinlong hoped that this visit would promote cooperation and exchanges between Tianjin University and first-class universities in Albania and neighboring "Belt and Road Initiative" countries. Tianjin University welcomes more outstanding Albanian students to study and build a bridge of communication between young students of both sides.

Redi Shtino said that the two countries have maintained friendly and cooperative relations. In recent years, the bilateral exchanges of both sides have become closer and more frequent. He hoped to develop faculty and student programs with Tianjin University in various fields. There is a desire to see more outstanding Albanian students recommended for study at Tianjin University. Two presidents of the University of Tirana and Universiteti Luarasi in Albania hope to establish cooperative partnerships with Tianjin University, and carry out cooperation in the fields of chemical engineering, law and economy.
