The 11th CPC Congress of Tianjin University opens at the Qiushi Hall on Peiyangyuan Campus on February 23.

Wang Xu, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the conference and delivered a speech.

Entrusted by the CPC Leading Group of the Ministry of Education, Zhu Baojiang, a member of CPC Leading Group of the Ministry of Education and Deputy Director of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Education, addressed to the conference via video.

Yang Xianjin, secretary of the CPC Tianjin University Committee, on behalf of the 10th CPC Tianjin University Committee, delivered a report entitled “Strive towards a new paradigm for the development of a world-class university with Chinese characteristics”. The report reviewed the achievements of the past five years and drew a blueprint for future development in the coming five years.

Jin Donghan, deputy secretary of the CPC Tianjin University Committee and the university president , presided over the conference and gave an opening remark.

A written work report was made by the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the 10th CPC Tianjin University Committee at the conference.

Two hundred and sixty-three delegates attended the conference.

More than 90 universities and many mass organizations within the university sent congratulatory letters on the opening of the conference.
