The 11th CPC Congress of Tianjin University was held from February 22 to 24, 2023. The Congress reviewed the work of the university since the 10th CPC Congress and drew a new blueprint for high-quality development of Tianjin University.

Professor Yang Xianjin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin University, on behalf of the 10th CPC Tianjin University Committee, delivered a report entitled“Strive towards a new paradigm for the development of a world-class university with Chinese characteristics”.

The student representatives form an important part of the congress delegates. A total of 30 students from all schools and colleges were elected as delegates. After the Congress, student delegates shared their opinions.

Student delegate Liu Xuying, Grade 2022 postgraduate student from the School of Civil Engineering, said: “As a student delegate of the11th CPC Congress of Tianjin University, I feel quite honored. The Congress reviewed the brilliant achievements of the university in the past five years and drew a blueprint for future development, which cheered me up a lot. As a student of the School of Civil Engineering, I have a profound feeling of the university’s vigorous development. A large number of teachers and students have participated in the construction of numerous national megaprojects such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the large-scale earthquake simulation research facility.”
