Tianjin University Promotes Constitution Day Awareness

On December 4, Tianjin University observed the 11th National Constitution Day with a series of events under the theme “Let the Light of Rule of Law Illuminate the Path Forward.” The activities aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the Constitution, strengthen their legal awareness, and inspire contributions to building a law-based China.

The day began with a solemn Constitution Morning Reading Ceremony. Hundreds of students reciting constitutional articles in unison. This event was part of a week-long program that included a speech contest and a knowledge quiz. During the speech contest, students shared personal experiences that reflected the significance of the Constitution, showcasing their dedication to the rule of law. Jia Hui, the contest winner, expressed her inspiration to further explore legal studies and promote constitutional principles.

Beyond campus, students extended their efforts to local schools and communities. At a nearby primary school, university students delivered an engaging lesson on the Constitution, sparking interest among young learners. In one of the university’s community, volunteers shared legal knowledge on topics such as constitutional rights, marriage law, and inheritance law, earning positive feedback from residents. Additionally, in another community, students painted vibrant wall murals to visually convey constitutional concepts, making the abstract principles more accessible and memorable.

These activities underscore Tianjin University’s commitment to integrating constitutional education into its broader mission of cultivating future leaders. By promoting the rule of law within and beyond campus, the university continues to empower students to become champions of constitutional values and active contributors to national development.
