Tianjin University Excels in the 2024 "Challenge Cup" Competitions

Tianjin University (TJU) students achieved remarkable success in the 14th "Challenge Cup" QinChuangYuan Platform National College Students' Entrepreneurship Competition and the 19th "Challenge Cup" National College Students' Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition. These prestigious events, known for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among college students, showcased TJU's strong performance and commitment to academic excellence.

The Entrepreneurship Competition, held from October 29 to November 2 at Xi'an Jiaotong University, attracted over 3 million students from more than 2,700 universities, with over 390,000 projects submitted. Following intense preliminary and provincial rounds, 839 projects from 412 domestic and 14 international institutions reached the national finals. TJU secured 3 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals, placing seventh nationwide and retaining the "Victory Cup" title.

Meanwhile, the Specialized Competition of the Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works featured 56 challenging topics. Held in two phases—from November 8 to 10 at Beihang University and from November 15 to 17 at China Jiliang University and Zhejiang Sci-Tech University—the event drew over 6,500 entries from 27,000 participants. Among the 1,950 projects that advanced to the finals, TJU clinched 4 Grand Prizes, ranking first among Tianjin universities.

Tianjin University’s consistent success underscores its dedication to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurial skills. Through extensive preparation, including training sessions, project development, and mock presentations, TJU ensures that its students are well-equipped for high-level competition. Moving forward, the university's Youth League Committee aims to enhance its support for these competitions, fostering a culture of innovation and contributing to the broader goals of Chinese-style modernization.
