In November 2024, the School of International Education at Tianjin University held annual International Fashion Show for international students.

This year’s event saw participation from over 50 countries, including Malaysia, Grenada, Honduras, Mongolia, Russia, Papua New Guinea, and Chad, among others.It aimed to foster global friendship, promote cultural exchange, and advance the building of a global community of shared future.

Han Guiyou, Party Secretary and Chairman of Tianjin Flying Pigeon Group, and Xu Weijie, Director of the Tianjin Chengxin Business Information Service Center, attended the event, together with more than 200 students and staff.

International students gathered to proudly showcase traditional attire from their home countries, offering both a feast of eyes and a celebration of cultural diversity.

The Show’s highlight came when international students donned traditional Chinese garments. Chinese attire, with its deep cultural roots and unique artistic value, provides a bridge across countries and cultures. The vivid interpretations by international students not only brought new vitality to Chinese costume but also showed the world a more diverse, open, and inclusive China.

The international faculty and students’ dances and songs expressed their love and passion to Chinese culture. The stage was filled with warmth and a powerful sense of friendships.

Finally, the preparatory teachers and lovely children jointly completed a unique Chinese parent-child fashion show, bringing the event to a perfect conclusion. The elegance of the teachers paired with the vivacity of the children perfectly showcased the charm and heritage of Hanfu culture.

The International Fashion Show is not only an occasion for cultural appreciation and exchange but also an opportunity for heartfelt connection. The event brings new life into Chinese culture, blossoming within every corner on campus.
