Tianjin University Hosts Job Fair Featuring 30,000 Positions

On October 18, 2024, Tianjin University held its Autumn Job Fair at its Weijin Road campus. This significant event attracted 344 companies from diverse sectors, including materials and chemical engineering, electrical automation, civil engineering, bio-medicine, electronic information, and economic management, collectively offering nearly 30,000 job positions. Over 6,000 graduates participated, engaging directly with potential employers.

The fair emphasized aligning talent development with the emerging demands of new productive forces. Tianjin University advocates that "the needs of the motherland align with my aspirations," merging national requirements with individual career goals. To support this mission, dedicated recruitment zones were established for various disciplines, including Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Materials and Chemical Engineering, Construction and Transportation, Intelligent Manufacturing, Geo-science and Oceanography, Medical and Biological Sciences, and Law, Economics, and Management. These areas were designed to address the job market's needs in industries shaped by new productive forces, encouraging graduates to pursue careers that contribute to national progress.

Additionally, the job fair featured special sections for Tianjin and regional governments from Dezhou, Maoming, Baotou, and beyond, facilitating targeted employment opportunities while promoting regional development.

Faculty members from Tianjin University actively participated in the fair, seeking to understand employer needs better and advising students on employment intentions and policies. The university's Crab-apple Blossom Studio and Setting Sail Studio offered crucial services, including resume reviews, career advice, and job-seeking assistance, enhancing graduates' prospects in a competitive job market.

This job fair not only presented extensive employment opportunities but also fostered collaboration between academic and industry stakeholders, ensuring that educational outcomes align with market demands and national priorities.
