[Commencement2024] From Student to Faculty: More Days to Share with TJU

 Campus

I am Xue Ziyi, a master's student at the School of Humanities and Arts. I graduated with a bachelor's degree from the School of Mechanical Engineering and have spent six transformative years at Tianjin University for both my undergraduate and graduate studies. During my time at Tianjin University, I received over 50 prestigious awards, including the National Scholarship and the Tianjin University Outstanding Student Award, reflecting my dedication and hard work. I actively participated in multiple student associations and engaged in various social practices, which enriched my academic journey and personal growth.

Over these six years, I've experienced an incredible journey of academic and personal development. From the rigorous curriculum of the Department of Mechanical Engineering to the enriching studies in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, and from the vibrant Peiyangyuan Campus to the historic Weijin Road Campus, Tianjin University has provided me with a broad platform to explore my interests and develop my skills. The university has taught me invaluable lessons about national and familial duty, instilling in me a strong sense of responsibility and purpose. It has also given me the confidence to pursue my passions with determination and resilience.

As my graduation approaches, I reflect on the countless memories and experiences that have shaped me into who I am today. The friendships I've forged, the mentors who have guided me, and the challenges I've overcome have all been integral parts of my journey. I realize that the luckiest thing over these six years is that I do not have to say goodbye to Tianjin University. Instead, I am thrilled to continue my journey here, transitioning from a student to a member of the faculty.
