Tianjin University Sends Help to Students Whose Families Affected by Earthquake and Heavy Snowstorm

Tianjin University offered temporary hardship allowances to students whose families were affected by the recent earthquake and heavy snowstorm in Gansu and Shanxi provinces as well as Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Tianjin University has been paying close attention to the safety and living of all faculty and students. Recently, the University has launched a special assistance project for students whose families are in areas with earthquakes and heavy rain, snow, and freezing disasters. This project allows students to apply for temporary hardship subsidies from Tianjin University through their respective schools to cope with temporary financial difficulties. The University provides corresponding temporary subsidies accordingly. In addition, counselors from each school have been in timely contact with students from affected areas, caring about their families' situations, setting up student assistance hotlines, arranging psychological counseling, and offering targeted care and support.

Tianjin University has always adhered to the tradition of aiding for students by providing temporary hardship subsidies in the event of natural disasters or unexpected accidents. 

In addition, since 1992, Tianjin University has been sending packages for winter to students with financial difficulties every winter. Over the years, Tianjin University has been committed to building a model of diversified assistance and comprehensive financial aid to ensure the stable and healthy learning and living of all students.
