Tianjin University now offers 38 postdoctoral programs, with 8 recent additions in the fields of physics, geography, clinical medicine, pharmacy, network security, integrated circuit science and engineering, intelligent science and technology, and nanoscience and engineering. Thirty-eight postdoctoral programs cover all authorized doctoral disciplines.
In 2023, Tianjin University achieved remarkable results in the 2ndChina Postdoctoral Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition, winning 6 gold awards, 5 silver awards, and 8 bronze awards (a total of 19 awards). The number of gold awards and the total award volume both ranked first among all universities in China. Additionally, postdoctoral fellows at Tianjin University have received a total of 80 postdoctoral funds, reaching a record high.
Tianjin University is among the first institutions to set up postdoctoral programs in China. We have made efforts in fostering a strong postdoctoral team for talent pool of the young faculty, supporting disciplinary development and the development of research centers.
