He Xin’s extensive theoretical knowledge of translation, acquired during her university studies, combined with her practical experience, has shaped her into a highly qualified professional talent, instilling her with confidence to serve the Asian Games. As the Deputy Director of Language Services, He Xin’s responsibilities include proofreading and facilitating the translation, overseeing the management of simultaneous interpreters, and ensuring language support for various news conferences. I am honored to have been recommended by the university to participate in the service support for the Asian Games. Serving as the Deputy Director of Language at the Asian Games is both a challenging opportunity and a platform to showcase my skills. My training at the university encompasses a wide range of practical exercises, including sight translation in various fields, and specialized translation practice in areas such as news, politics, movie subtitles, economic contracts, literature, and culture. I have also participated in translation seminars focusing on current events and practical simultaneous interpretation practice. These experiences have comprehensively shaped my translation expertise, including a systematic understanding of translation theory, a solid foundation in both Chinese and English, a multidisciplinary knowledge structure, a rigorous and pragmatic academic style, and strong professional ethics. These have facilitated my swift adaptation to the job's requirements, enabling me to provide high-quality and professional services.”

He Xin further highlighted that TJU’s School of Foreign Languages has established partnerships with numerous enterprises and organizations, regularly organizing students to work as interpreters at various major international conferences such as the Belt and Road Business Negotiation Meeting, the World Intelligence Congress, and the Summer Davos Forum. While providing students with ample internship and practical training opportunities, the school also places great emphasis on the cultivation of students’ character and integrity. Prior to her assignment for the Asian Games, the school instructed her to strictly follow work requirements, approach her responsibilities with rigor, serve the society with professional competence, embody Tianjin University's character through her work, and implement every task with high standards and strict requirements.
