Chemistry of TJU-NUS Joint Institute in Fuzhou Enters Top 1% of ESI Globally

According to the latest ESI data released by Clarivate Analytics, chemistry discipline of Tianjin University-National University of Singapore Joint Institute in Fuzhou (TJU-NUS Joint Institute in Fuzhou) ranks top 1% worldwide.

Entering the top 1% of ESI globally is an important indicator for scientific research capabilities and influence of academic institutions, representing a crucial step taken by the TJU-NUS Joint Institute in Fuzhou on the path of global high-level discipline construction.

On December 1, 2018, Tianjin University (TJU), National University of Singapore (NUS), the Education Department of Fujian Province and the People’s Government of Fuzhou City signed an Agreement for the Establishment of TJU-NUS Joint Institute in Fuzhou.

Currently, the Joint Institute has an international top research team, including 25 PI (12 from TJU and 13 from NUS), 8 associate researchers, 24 postdoctoral students. There are 212 doctoral students in training. The Joint Institute will welcome the first batch of master’s students enrolled to the Institute in August this year.
