On April 18, Tianjin University (TJU) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Tianjin Healthcare Security Bureau. Both parties aim to further promote cooperation and achieve high-quality development with complementary advantages and win-win cooperation.

At the signing ceremony, Li Guotian, Director of Tianjin Healthcare Security Bureau, noted that healthcare security devotes major efforts to reduce the burden of medical care, and improve people’s well-being. Tianjin University’s Medical College has carried out in-depth theoretical research and practical exploration on the multi-level healthcare security system and medical insurance payment mode reform.

Ming Dong, Vice President of Tianjin University, stressed Tianjin University will give full play to the strength of science and technology and talents, and endeavor to apply the achievements of emerging science and technology into the medical insurance reform, so as to improve people’s health, wellbeing quality of life.

Two parties exchanged views on medical insurance fund supervision, and medical insurance drug procurement.

After the ceremony, Li Guotian and his delegation visited Tianjin University History Museum and the “Medical Development” exhibition hall.
