Excellence 9 Universities (E9) Foreign Affairs Forum was held at Tianjin University on April 20. Representatives from Beijing Institute of Technology, Chongqing University, Dalian University of Technology, Southeast University, Harbin Institute of Technology, South China University of Technology, Tongji University, Tianjin University and Northwestern Polytechnical University gathered together to discuss how to promote international cooperation and train innovative talents with global vision. Vice President of Tianjin University Gong Jinlong attended the event.

Vice President Gong talked about effective ways to deepen internationalization. He put forward specific suggestions on sustainable development and internal construction of E9 and expected to see more communication and cooperation within E9 towards promoting high-quality internationalization of higher education.

On the Forum, attendees from nine universities exchanged and discussed issues concerning innovative cultivation of talents with global vision under the background of Internet, and intention-type development of international student cultivation. Consensus on innovating ways and carriers of international cooperation and exchange under the new situation, enhancing project execution and output, and optimizing management process was then reached.
