"I used to read a large number of books on management and finance during university study and found there is a serious crux in the management of the company." After several attemptations, Shi Hongwei established Tianjin New AL-ONE Technology Company (Limited). At that time, Shi Hongwei discovered that Japan's technology was very advanced, he immediately went to Japan to explore the collaboration opportunities. Soon New AL-ONE Technology Company (Limited) established cooperation partnership with Japan's Kansai Paint Company. All were owing to the past experience that Shi Hongwei taught himself Japanese in his spare time -he deprecated as "fool around". Today, Shi Hongwei's Tianjin New AL-ONE Technology Company (Limited) has a factory in Foshan and branch offices in Wuxi, Chengdu, Tianjin and Yingkou, with a nationwide business coverage.
Shi Hongwei likes to think of himself as an engineer rather than an entrepreneur. Though faced with a busy schedule of company management, he still insists on studying every day for consecutive years. Thanks to the strong learning ability, he developed in the youth that he combined the professional knowledge with his own interests - physics and mathematics - to study and do researches on many principles of aluminum surface treatment processes, participated in the revision of Chinese, Japanese, European and ISO-related standards, and also translated several professional books such as ‘Functional Anodizing<span id="id_85016755" onclick="parent.newfixtyposword(this)" style="cursor: pointer;background-color:#e84840;color:#fff" title="该词为敏感词，修改建议：" ；点击清除标记。'="" typos="true">’, producing great influence in the industry. A few days before the interview, Shi Hongwei solved a technical problem of calculating the TNT equivalent using calculus, and the final result was only 1 kg different from the data calculated by the American university. When it comes to this, Shi Hongwei proudly said: "This time I feel that I can match the title of an 'engineer'.
When it comes to the donations for university, Shi Hongwei said that when in school, the good times, the teachers' guidance, and the deep friendship of his fellow students were the backbone for his entrepreneurial journey. So, it is natural to feed back to his alma mater. He said that: "To make a little contribution to my alma mater is something I should be proud of for the rest of my life."
Facing the students at Tianjin University, Shi Hongwei advised his younger generations to learn math well. "It takes some time to systematically study mathematics during school and it is the foundation of other disciplines." Talking about his life motto to his schoolmates, Shi Hongwei said, everyone will experience the bitter and sweet of their own life, just like drinking two bottles of wine, sweet and bitter. Different people have different choice, with different order. No matter what kind of wine we drank before, it is no use to rethink and the past is past and we have no choice to change it. However, the present and the future are firmly decided in our own hands, the future even though a thousand rocks and ravines, those people with strong determination and confidence, will never wander.
