On April 16,the opening ceremony of the First AdvancedProgramfor safety directors and reservetalentsof chemical enterprises was successfully held in the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology,Tianjin University.
Liu li, Deputy Director of the Department of Hazard Chemical Supervision under the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People’s Republic of China, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Ma Xinbin, Vice President of Tianjin University, and Lu Nianming, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Chemical Safety Association, delivered speeches. The ceremony was hosted by Zhao Jinduo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology.
Ma Xinbin emphasized that chemical industry shoulders economic development and plays an important role. He encouraged all members to think independently,benefit from the program, transform theoretical knowledge into practice, and provide novel solutions for sustainable and high-qualified developmentof chemical industries.
Lu Nianming expressed that the Tianjin University’s mission matches with the chemical industrial demand for senior security and management talents. Such advanced programs, lasting a period of a year and a half, will be helpful in cultivating members into professionals with both solid theoretical knowledge and rich practical experience.
Fan Xiaobin, vice dean of the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, introduced the development of the school. He stressed that through the efforts of several generations in this discipline, the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology has been continuously attracting first-class teachers, focusing on the leading edge of technological development, cultivating the excellent talents and promoting chemical industry developments. He believed this program will be completely successful with the support of first-class experts and rich learning resources.
Wei Hongyuan, Group Leader of Tutors for the Program in the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, made a detailed introduction of the program preparation, curriculum for members. Besides, Professor Tan Wei gave a speech on behalf of the tutors, and Lu Jing, Office Director of the Wanhua Chemical (Ningbo) CO.,LTD also delivered a speech as a program member representative.
Liu Li congratulated on the successful opening of thisadvanced program. She expected further cooperation between the two parties and promoting the cultivation of talents in chemical safety. She hoped that all participants should combine theoretical knowledge with practice,and promote their skills to a new level. After her speech, she delivered the first class "Interpretation of the 14th Five-Year Plan for Safe Production of Dangerous Chemicals" to introduce about the national policies comprehensively and accurately.
This advanced program is co-organized by the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology (Tianjin University) and China Chemical Safety Association,taking the advantages of TJU-chemical engineering discipline to implement the strategy of national safety and serve the development of chemical industry. In order to ensure the professionalism and systematization of chemical safety education, a professional committee for chemical safety education and tutor group were established. Deputy Director Liu Li issued the Appointment Letters for the professional committee, and Vice President Ma Xinbin issued the Appointment Letters for the members of the tutor group.
This Advanced Program takes the advantage of Tianjin University’s strong chemical engineering discipline, the guide service of China Chemical Safety Association and abundant teaching resources from the Committee of Chemical Teaching of the Ministry of Education, and focuses on safe operations in chemical companies to meet the needs of the industry.
