Jin Donghan, the University president, led a group to visit DiaSorin on April 4, 2023 to promote school-enterprise cooperation and enhance the integration of industry, university and research at the international level.

During the visit, the group met with Wang Yi, vice chairman of Diasorin Diagnostic Medical Devices (Shanghai) Co., LTD., Fernando Davico, vice president of Sales of DiaSorin SpA, and Alberto Campani, vice president of industrial operations. Wang Yi expressed warm welcome to Prof. Jin and expected closer cooperation with Tianjin University in student training.

Fernando Davico said that DiaSorin is competitive in enzyme linked immunity, radioimmunity, fluorescence immunity, chemical light and other fields and produce a wide range of products in related areas. He mentioned that the company produces and sells medical immunoassay kits and related instruments, to which immunology and molecular biology related technologies are applied.

Prof. Jin briefly introduced the history of Tianjin university and its achievements in discipline construction, scientific research and international cooperation in recent years. He pointed out that the university continues to perfect top-level design in school-running, promote scientific research and innovation of medical and industrial integration, extend the breadth and depth of medical and industrial cross-integration, and has yielded many high-quality medical innovations. The university is vigorously developing intelligent technology to help upgrade traditional industries. He expected to see more joint efforts of the two sides in talent cultivation and scientific research about biomedicine and medical detection.

The group also visited manufacture workshops of DiaSorin accompanied by Alberto Campani.
