International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year marks the 113th anniversary of International Women’s Day. Tianjin University organizes a series of activities to celebrate the festival.
“Share Her Story”
With self-reliance and tenacity, female faculty of Tianjin University have given full play to their wisdom and shown great sense of responsibility in their work. Works including articles, short videos on stories of female faculty are collected and will be compiled into a book.
Forum
A forum aiming to show the dedication and responsibility of female faculty and strengthen the exemplary role of outstanding female staff will be held. Representatives of national and Tianjin March 8th Red-banner Pacesetters, Tianjin University female faculty members, and female students will be invited to the forum to share and exchange their opinions.
Public Fitness Exercises
At 1:30 p.m. on March 3, activities for public fitness exercises will be held at the stadiums of Weijin Road Campus and Peiyangyuan Campus, encouraging female faculty members to develop a regular fitness routine.
Lectures
To improve awareness and popularity of laws, regulations and policies, scholars of Law School of Tianjin University will be invited to give special lectures. Lectures aim to value the rights and interests of female staff and gender equality.
Celebrations in Schools
Themed “Colorful Days”, a variety of distinctive activities will be held in each school and college.
Visits
Visits will be paid to outstanding female faculty members including model workers and March 8thred-banner pacesetters, so as to send them greetings and encourage them to continue to play a guiding role and make new achievements.
