This year marks the tenth anniversary that Tianjin University, as the leading unit among several other universities, provided support for Qinghai Nationalities University. For the past 10 years, great achievements have been made on the development of Qinghai Nationalities University.

We have prioritized talent cultivation. Qinghai Nationalities University has been approved as a doctoral degree authorized unit and a first-level discipline doctoral program in Ethnology. The two universities have jointly recruited doctoral students in Public Management and the both sides have jointly trained 68 high-quality doctoral students so far. Since 2013, the two universities have jointly recruited undergraduate students relating to fields urgently needed for the development of Qinghai's industry. In 2021, the joint training program for master students was launched for the first time.

Over the past 10 years, Tianjin University has sent a great number of outstanding faculty members to Qinghai Nationalities University, and received 63 teachers and management staff from there to engage in training programs. We have invested 6 million yuan to set up the Tianjin University – Qinghai Nationalities University Independent Innovation Fund Project, covering 100 projects in fields like Salt Lake Chemical, New Energy and Communication Engineering. On September 30,China Education Dailyreported Tianjin University’s support for Qinghai Nationalities University on front-page.

Up to now, Tianjin University has established cooperation projects with Hainan University and Ningxia University, and provided support for six universities including Qinghai University for Nationalities, Lanzhou Jiaotong University, Longyan University and Guiyang University.
