Yi Baojin is an undergraduate of 2018 from the School of Architecture and a member of the Communist Party of China. She has served as the director of Student Party School of Tianjin University, the deputy chief of the student’s team for popular education of Party history and the head of “Bracket Set Newer”, an innovative and entrepreneurial team. Also, she got the gold award of the 12th "Challenge Cup" National College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition, the national bronze award of the 7th China International "Internet plus" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Outstanding Student of Tianjin. 

Yi and her crew are committed to promote the ancient architectural culture and splendid traditional culture of China. For this purpose, they established the “Bracket Set Newer” in 2019 and set up courses to popularize bracket set culture for several schools in Gansu, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and Tianjin, which have attracted numerous students to feel the infinite charm of Chinese traditional culture.  

Yi was elected as one of the 2021’s Stars of Self-improvement of Chinese College Students. Tianjin University will continue to strengthen educational support and guidance, cultivate and select outstanding student models to carry forward the spirit of gratitude and dedication. It will also call on students to be ambitious yet practical, confident and capable, thus making them the new era’s great young generation, a generation with ideals, a sense of responsibility, grit, and dedication. It is certain that as they endeavor to build China into a modern socialist country in all respects, their youth and vitality will bloom in full splendor.
