Professor Peng Yigang at Tianjin University, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, passed away in Tianjin on October 23, 2022 at the age of 90.
Professor Peng Yigang was born in Hefei city, Anhui Province in September, 1932. He graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of Tianjin University (TJU) and began to teach at TJU in 1953. He served as Professor at TJU since 1983 and Doctoral Supervisor since 1986. In 1995, he was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
