My Love for Tianjin University

Every year, Tianjin University prepares branded mooncakes with the symbols of the university for the Mid-Autumn Festival. In this photo, I am standing in front of the main gate of the old campus - the east gate. This gate is also on my mooncake.

Tianjin University has two campuses: the new campus ( Peiyangyuan Campus) and the old campus (Weijin Road Campus). I study on the old campus, so all my photos are taken on the old campus. In this photo, I am in the Peiyang Square. On this monolith you can notice the year 1895. My alma mater has a very long history: It was established in 1895 as Peiyang University. In 1951, after restructuring, it was renamed Tianjin University. Tianjin University was the first university providing four-year degree modern higher education in China. I am happy to be a part of Tianjin University, to get my first higher education here.

In addition to studying, at Tianjin University you can enroll in various hobby groups. Every year there is a fair of hobby groups twice. There are a lot of different hobby groups in Tianjin University. I liked the hobby photography club, judo, singing, dancing (hip-hop) and boxing the most.

I tried judo classes for the first time at Tianjin University. it was the most unusual experience in my life. The teacher was from Japan and the students were from all over the world. We were all united by the desire to learn judo. In addition, I would like to mention that there are four lakes on Weijin Road Campus: Jingye Lake, Youyi Lake, Qingnian Lake and Aiwan Lake. In this photo, I am sitting in front of Jingye Lake.

Food is our life. For a happy life, a foreigner in China needs to find his favorite dish. I found my favorite food. It's a donkey burger “驴肉火烧”. When I'm in a bad mood or I'm too hungry and I don't have time to cook, I go for this dish. This is the third canteen, it is quite new and trendy. They also sell good baozi and coffee.

I was glad to meet the Chinese New Year on the campus of Tianjin University. It always snows in my hometown in winter. It also showed a lot this year in Tianjin. On snowy days, my friends and I went out to play snowballs, made a snowman. And 2022 is the year of the tiger, so Chinese students made a tiger. We have a large campus, so the photos were taken in different locations. This photo was taken at the Lake of Youth (Qingnian Lake). One of the most beautiful lakes on campus. I love walking around this lake in any weather.

In the summer of 2021, I went to the new campus ( Peiyang Camous) to see my Chinese friend. She showed me the library. The new campus is big, and so is the library. The library is not only big, but also beautiful. You can take very beautiful pictures there. For example, this one. It's a pity we went there to take pictures, I would really like to study there. I was impressed by the number of books in English. There are some books in Russian.
