“I’ve visited Tianjin several times before, and I have also visited Tianjin University campus online, browsing campus photos. However, I didn’t have the chance to enter the campus. This is the first time I’ve been here. I feel like I am both an acquaintance and stranger here.”Gu Yixin, who comes from Beijing, with his high school classmate Du Zechun, moved into Tianjin University.

The two, who were high school classmates, had the same score in National College Entrance Examination. Now, they have become first-year students of Tianjin University's Class 2026 at the School of Precision Instrument and Opto-Electronics Engineering, working together towards their common dream.

When it comes to the reason why they choose Tianjin university at the same time, the two classmates said that they were attracted by the profound historical background and academic accumulation, "Profound historical culture and academic accumulation, and beautiful campus are quite attractive", Du Zechun said. Due to their interest in engineering, physics and interdisciplinary fields, both of them chose the precision instrument major as their first choice. They hope that through the study of precision instrument, they can make contributions in related fields in the future.

During the past three years, they have helped each other and made progress together in their studies. Their achievements have kept up with each other. Facing the coming four years of undergraduate life, Du Zechun hopes he could not only learn professional knowledge, but also cultivate personal learning and planning ability to achieve all-round development. Gu Yixin said that he hopes to meet more new friends and help each other to fulfill their dreams. He also looked forward to participating in some colorful campus activities to enrich campus life. In the next four years, they also shared the same goal, that is to perform well in their study, research, and daily life. They will work hard to learn professional courses, find their own directions, and work together to the next goal.
