To celebrate Tianjin University’s 127th anniversary, we are now holding a contest of English micro-videos, photos, and articles.
1. Theme
Meet Tianjin University/Tianjin/China – Share your stories with Tianjin University/Tianjin/China.
2. Participants
All Tianjin University students, staff, and alumni are welcome.
3. Duration
September 30 – October 10, 2022
4. Entry requirements
(1) Micro videos
The themes of micro-videos can be any of the following ones:
① The 127th anniversary of Tianjin University
② My Stories with Tianjin University/Tianjin/China
③ My best wishes for Tianjin University/China
The background of micro-videos can be music, English commentary or videos with English subtitles. The micro-videos can be documentary records, cartoon animation, innovative videos, video interviews, original music, or videos about best wishes for Tianjin University or China, among others.
The video format should be MP4, with high definition and clear sound. The length is not limited.
The work should be original and free of copyright issues.
For the videos with two creators or above, please indicate the main creator.
(2) Photos
The themes of photo works can be any of the following ones:
① Expressions of best wishes for Tianjin University/China
② My Stories with Tianjin University/Tianjin/China
The photos can be the recording of the style of campus or the times, documentary, creative photography and other forms.
Each picture should be annotated with no less than 50 English words.
Submit as an image file, JPG or JPEG format.
The work should be original work and free of copyright issues.
(3) Articles
The themes of the articles revolve around “my story with Tianjin University/Tianjin/China”. The genre and the number of words are not limited. Pictures can be included in the text.
The works should be original and free of copyright issues.
5. Awards
The results will be made through reviews of judges and based on the number of views on the website and the number of likes on social media platforms of the shortlisted works.
This contest will select:
5 awards for best works, (prizes for winners in the Chinese mainland: power bank (mobile power supply) with the certificate of award);
20 awards for outstanding works, (prizes for winners in the Chinese mainland:
insulation cup with the certificate of award)
100 awards for shortlisted works, (prizes for winners in the Chinese mainland: cultural souvenir of Tianjin University: canvas bag)
The winning works will be exhibited on the official English website of Tianjin University and Tianjin University social media platforms.
