On September 6, Tianjin University and the University of Yangon held an online meeting to promote the cooperation. Rector of the University of Yongon Tin Maung Tun and Executive Vice President of Tianjin University Hu Wenping attended the event.

During the meeting, Executive Vice President Hu Wenping hoped to establish partnerships and promote cooperation on both education and research between the two universities.

Rector Tin Maung Tun hoped that the two universities could promote the establishment of partnerships and carry out cooperation on student and personnel exchanges as well as research.

At the meeting, the two universities reached consensus on the establishment of cooperative partnerships, scientific research, and joint training of students, among others.
