After IET Energy Systems Integration was included in the ESCI Database, a core database of Web of Science, another two journals of Tianjin University,SmartMat andNanotechnology and Precision Engineering, NPE, were officially included.
Professor Hu Wenping, Executive Vice President of Tianjin University, and professor Zhang Hua from City University of Hong Kong are editors-in-chief of SmartMat, which was an English academic journal dedicated to pioneering research in the field of intelligent materials, launched in November, 2020, included in DOAJ in June, 2021.SmartMat covers a wide range of different materials including intelligent, flexible, quantum, molecular, neuromorphic computing, biological and biomimetic, electronic and microelectronic, intelligent environmental, energy and catalytic, and intelligent sensing functional materials. It’s an interdisciplinary and forward-looking journal.
The editor-in-chief of Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering is Professor Duan Xuexin from the State Key Laboratory of Precision Measuring Technology and Instruments of Tianjin University. The Chinese version of Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering was launched in 2003 and included in Scopus in 2006 and Ei in 2006-2013 respectively. In 2018, the journal was published in English version. It focuses on innovative research progress related to nanotechnology and precision engineering at home and abroad. The journal includes articles covering the following areas: micro/nano sensors and actuators, micro/nanoscale fabrication, micro/nano electromechanical system, micro/nano fluidics, micro/nano optics, micro/nanotechnology for biomedical applications, micro-and nano characterization and metrology, flexible electronics, advanced materials and their interface with micro/nanotechnology, precision instruments, precision engineering and industrial, frontier and future trends for NPE.
The journal was included in the DOAJ and Scopus Database in 2018, and the core database of CSCD in 2019. It was included in the Ei Database again and entered into the ESCI Database in 2022.
Three journals of Tianjin University were included into the list of “The Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China” and “The Excellent International Impact Academic Journal of China”, of which Nanomanufacturing and Metrology was awarded “The Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China”, and Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering and the English version of Transactions of Tianjin University was awarded “The Excellent International Impact Academic Journal of China”.Tianjin University was ranked the fourth among Universities in China for the total number of selected journals.
