Recently, Professor Huo Baofeng received Hau Lee Outstanding Young Scholar Award in the 16th International Conference on Operations and Supply Chain Management (ICOSCM 2022). Professor Liu Xueyuan, former Chairman of ASCOM and Professor of the School of Economics and Management at Wuhan University, presented the certificates to the winners.

In his acceptance speech, Professor Huo sincerely expressed his gratitude to ASCOM and ICOSCM for helping him along the way. The first ICOSCM conference was held in 2007 in Xi'an when Professor Huo Baofeng was still a PhD student, and it was also the conference where Prof. Huo became involved with Xi'an Jiaotong University. The 16th ICOSCM conference in 2022 was hosted by the College of Management and Economics of Tianjin University. Professor Huo thanked Professor Hau Lee for inspiring his academic career. Following the footsteps of Professor Hau Lee, Professor Huo has produced many important academic results in the areas of bullwhip effect, 3A supply chain, and information sharing. Up to now, the number of academic citations of Professor Huo has reached 12,096, including the article “The impact of supply chain integration on performance: A contingency and configuration approach” published in JOM in 2010. The article has received 3544 citations. Professor Huo Baofeng has served in many academic journals and societies. He contributed to the establishment of the platform of “New Era-New Business” and the development of laboratories and centers and the building of the “Industry-University-Research-Creation” ecosystem.
Professor Huo Baofeng has supervised nearly 40 outstanding PhD students, 8 of whom are working at Xi'an Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Dalian University of Technology, Tianjin University, Soochow University and other universities. His team has established an extensive international cooperation network.
Professor Huo Baofeng has made outstanding contributions in the field of operations management, exerting an important impact in this field. In 2021, he was ranked first in Greater China in the field of business and management of Stanford Global Top 2% Scientists Annual List; No.1 in the world for supply chain management research in emerging markets and economies; No.3 in Asia for both quantity and quality scores of supply chain management research, No.2 in Asia for total citations and citations per article, and No.2 in Asia for the development of collaborative networks.
Professor Hau L. Lee is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, the Chair Professor of Operations, Information and Technology at Graduate School of Business of Stanford University, the founder of Stanford Global Supply Chain Management Forum, and the director of Stanford Institute for Economic Innovation and Development.
