On August 27, Tianjin University and China General Technology (Group) Holdings Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Both parties will carry out in-depth cooperation on scientific and technological innovation, industrial development and talent training, to accelerate the development of machine tool industry.
According to the agreement, in terms of scientific and technological innovation, the two parties will strengthen exchanges on scientific and technological innovation in the field of machine tools and equipment, and cooperate in key technology research and development, science and technology platform construction and other aspects around national strategies and major industrial needs. Both parties will join hands on construction of high-end CNC machine tools state key laboratories and technology innovation centers, national major research, and construction of CNC machine tool industry innovation strategy alliance and other initiatives.
In terms of industrial development, Tianjin University will give full play to its expertise in the fields of machinery, materials, chemistry, architecture, civil engineering, energy, environment, economics and management, and establish a collaborative sharing cooperation mechanism with General Technology Group through various forms of information resource interchange to promote industrial development and project implementation. Both parties will promote the deep integration of industry, academia, research and application.
In terms of talent training, both parties will work together to cultivate applied, compound and innovative talents needed by the industry. Through establishing "practical teaching center" and education platform of national professional infrastructure system, both parties will work together to build a new system of professional talent cultivation, promote long-term and stable talent sharing mechanism including mutual employment of experts and introduction of talents, and create a diversified talent cultivation mode.
