China FAW Group Corporation R&D Center Donates Cars and Engines to Tianjin University Recently, China FAW Group Corporation R&D Center donated "Hongqi" cars and engines to Tianjin University.
Two "Hongqi" cars (Hongqi H9, Hongqi H7) and two engines (V6TD V6 (V-type 6-cylinder) 2ndgeneration engine, and 20TD third-generation 4-cylinder engine) were donated for teaching and research of the relative disciplines such as Internal Combustion Engine and Mechanical Engineering. It was hoped that China FAW Group and Tianjin University could further strengthen the integration of production, education and research, promote their technical resources sharing, coordinated development, and more cooperation on technology in the automotive field, as well as explore the "Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Strategies" of the automobile industry and the training mode of globally competitive automobile talents.
China FAW Group pointed out that Tianjin University contributed a lot in the research and development of the new "Hongqi" cars, providing intellectual support and talent guarantee.
