Recently, Tianjin University (TJU) organized the Achievements Exhibition Meeting of 2021 Labor Competition at the lecture hall on the 1st floor of the Science Library, Weijin Road Campus. Clustering judges encompassing the members of the leading group of talent selection and evaluation, the secretaries of College Party Organizations, the chairmen of the College Trade Unions, the director of the Faculty and Trade Union Congress and the representatives of young teachers, the meeting was held both online and offline, run by Sun He, vice chairman of the School Trade Union.
Tan Xin addressed the meeting. He emphasized importance of the common-concerned annual exhibition and selection activity of the Labor Competition, from which the advanced models were displayed for everyone to learn from. The year of 2021, Tan pointed out, marks the beginning of the country’s “14th Five-year Plan” for economic and social development, the all-round construction of a great modern socialist China, as well as the second step of TJU’s “three-step” development strategy.
He also indicated that commending part of the distinguished collectives and individuals through hosting the “five-comparing and two-creating” Labor Competitions (to compare professional ethics, capacity of performing duties, scientific payoffs, solidarity and cooperation, and service efficiency with each other; to create advanced collectives and individuals from the position contest) would further promote the long-lasting spirits of model workers among the school staffs. Their dedication, diligence, innovativeness, and gumption would be the key to considerable progress of TJU.
Tan expected that each collective and individual of TJU would take the meeting as an opportunity to not only show their professional presence, but also fulfill the essential mission of cultivating virtues and morality in a comprehensive way through the power of role models, so as to successfully train the well-rounded talents according to the demand of our country.
Totally, 25 candidate groups for the leading collective, 29 candidates for the distinguished faculty as well as 35 for the advanced young staff were elected from the applicants for the Labor Competition after the approval and investigation of departments at different levels (from College Trade Unions and College Party Organizations, to the Organization Department and Faculty Affairs Office). The candidates reported their accomplishments respectively in the construction of professional ethics, educational researches, ideological and political innovations, administration and service, etc.
Ultimately, Ma Guiqiu announced that 10 collectives of the 25, 20 individuals of the 29 and 19 youngsters of the 35 stood out as the winner under the assessment of the judges of the meeting. The winner list would be publicized for common agreement in TJU for 5 working days before the final commendation.
TJU Trade Union treats the demonstration effect of the advanced individuals as a core to vigorously carry forward their valuable spirits and motivate all faculty’s progressive ambitions.
