On November 28, 2019, the Second National University Students Sports Industry Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (North China Division) was held by Sports Industry Innovation and Entrepreneurship Service Platform of the National Physical Education Institutes at Tianjin University of Sport, with the support and guidance of the Department of Science and Education of the General Administration of Sports of China, Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, and Tianjin Sports Bureau. It included 127 events and a total of more than 800 players from 23 universities in Northern China. Tianjin University, Peking University, Central University of Finance and Economics, and Beijing Sport University alljoined the competition.

Under the guidance of Committee of Communist Youth League of Tianjin University, the three teams organized by Tianjin University Venue Center have won two First Prizes and one Second Prize. Tianjin University also won the honor of the Best Organization. The two teams which have won the First Prize will take part in the National Final, representing the North China Division.

The competition was divided into four major categories, including creative design groups of college and university students, creative design groups of postgraduates, entrepreneurial practice groups of college and university students, and entrepreneurial practice groups of postgraduates. With the careful organization and planning, three Tianjin University Venue Center teams moved on to the second round in the North China Division, including three projects which were “Weight Loss Training Group” of the creative groups of college and university students, “Tianshuo Sports—Creating a Different ‘Physical Class’” and “Seed Yoga” of the entrepreneurial groups of postgraduates.

In the Semi-Final on November 28, all three projects won and made it to the Final Competition. In the Final on the 29th, the team members gave full play to their advantages and strove for victory, demonstrating the style and ability of students of Tianjin University. “Burning My Calories’ Weight Loss Training Group” won the First Prize in the creative groups of college and university students, “Tianshuo Sports—Creating a Different ‘Physical Class’” ha won the First Prize, and “Seed Yoga” has won the Second Prize in the entrepreneurial groups of postgraduates.
