The "Chinese Innovation Design Conference" was recently held in the Great Hall of the People. It was cosponsored by the Innovation Design Alliance of China, the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and the Dragon Design Foundation. The "Five degrees of freedom hybrid robot" developed by Professor Huang Tian’s team from Tianjin University won a silver medal for China Good Design.
The new mechanism of the five degrees of freedom of the TriVariant series is embodied in the "five degree of freedom hybrid robot". It has led to independent technological innovation leapfrogging creative industrial robot technology in China.
The "China Good Design" prize was established in 2015 and reviewed by the Innovation Design Alliance of China under the guidance of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. After extensive examination 27 items were selected as good designs in 2016. Following further strict review by more than 20 academicians and experts, eight designs were awarded gold medals, while 19 designs silver medals.
