Hello, I am Sabry, a student at the School of International Education in TJU, and I am from Egypt. Three month ago, I came to China. At first, I felt very sad, because it was my first time leaving my family for a brand-new place. However, as time passed by, I gradually fell in love with it. The more I know about China, the more I am fond of this country. Now I even consider it as my second “home”. This is because China and Egypt have a lot in common, and the two countries both have an ancient civilization and a long history. The relationship between them is very close. What’s more, the Chinese and the Egyptian traditional customs are similar to each other. I am full of gratitude for the opportunity to come to China, and especially proud to be able to express myself in Chinese.
I have to say that Chinese people are very hospitable, and they have helped me patiently each time I have been lost. Now I have become accustomed to the fast-paced but convenient life in China, such as the high-speed rail, Alipay, and express delivery. You can reach many places in a short time and pay your bill anywhere at any time. What’s more, I do appreciate the Chinese concept of health which they pay much attention to. The elderly are often seen practicing Tai Chi, dancing and jogging on the streets of the campus, and they all attach great importance to health care no matter how old they are or how bad the weather is. The lifestyles of Chinese people are also very green and sharing bicycles can be seen everywhere. Most Chinese choose this way to travel short distances, which is not only convenient but also environmentally protective.
I respect China and the Chinese people, because I see that Chinese people work hard, love their country and try their best to develop their motherland. I appreciate every day spent in China, and every day here is colorful. I would like to say that I love you, China!
