Recently, a ceremony to launch the Tianjin University Innovation Research Institute was held at Tianjin Balitai Industrial Park in the Jinnan district. 

The event attracted 60 more guests to attend. During the ceremony, Yuan Yingjin, Vice President of Tianjin University and Yin Xuewu, Deputy District Mayor of Jinnan District delivered speeches. 

Zhai Jingsheng, Dean of the Innovation Research Institute, said that since Institute’s unveiling, six R & D centers had been jointly established by the Institute and 11 listed companies and other leading companies. Zhai Jingsheng stated that the Innovation Research Institute of Tianjin University will lead and promote the innovation and development of marine science and technology in the new era in line with the national strategy. At the same time, it will also focus on the development of talent and transformation of science and technology at Tianjin University, and provide support for the talent introduction and enterprise upgrading in the region. 

Yin Xuewu, Deputy District Mayor, said that the Innovation Research Institute of Tianjin University would give strong technical support to the military and civilian integration of Balitai town. He also held high hopes for the prospect of great contributions to Jinnan economic and social development provided by the Innovative Research Institute especially by exerting a greater role in the transformation of emerging enterprises in the Jinnan District. In the name of Jinnan District, Yin Xuewu expressed his best wishes for the development of all the settled enterprises. 

On behalf of Tianjin University, Vice President Yuan Yingjin expressed his warm congratulations on the launching ceremony and expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Balitai town and Jinnan District Governments for their great support. Yuan Yingjin introduced the history and current development of Tianjin University. Aiming at promoting science and technology innovation in the area and developing the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, the Innovative Research Institute plays an important role in boosting the development of Tianjin University in both talent training and academic teaching. Thanks to the advantages in location and environment, Tianjin University and Jinnan District should work together to further develop the Innovative Research Institute into a world-class platform for the development and transformation of science and technology, high-tech business incubation and top-quality talent cultivation.
