Recently, TJU received a letter of thanks from the High Technology Research and Development Center (HTRDC) of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, in which Professors Ma Xinbin and Li Xianggao of the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology were acknowledged for their contributions. 　　

Two key leading expert groups, among other groups, were established within HTRDC to ensure assignment of national key research and development projects were implemented smoothly. Professor Ma dealt with problems of coal cleaning and efficient utilization and new energy-saving technologies, and Professor Li with strategically advanced electronic materials within HTRDC.　

The letter states that during the past year, the two Professors worked devotedly with fairness and impartiality, and they were cooperative and innovative. They did a great job in project charter review, project examination, adjustment and assessment, among other tasks, and played important roles in the implementation and management of the projects. HTRDC expressed their gratitude to the two professors.
