Raghavan Srinivasan: Impressive TJU Students with Aspirations

 Global

Raghavan Srinivasan, Indian, associate professor of School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology

Having spent two years working at Tianjin University, I have witnessed so many changes and achievements here. One of the biggest is the trend of globalization, which means more and more undergraduates, graduate students and teaching staff from all over the world have chosen to come to TJU. Meanwhile, the quality of TJU’s scientific research has advanced rapidly, and the number of academic papers has gone through a steady increase; the infrastructure projects are getting completed, new teaching buildings have been put into use, and with proper maintenance, those old teaching buildings also keep their glamour. As we can see, TJU is developing into a high-standard, world-class university.

After I came to TJU, I was always astonished by these excellent students. Their solid store of knowledge has prepared them for future scientific research. I once worked at the National University of Singapore and the University of Cambridge, and even when compared with students from those universities, the students of TJU are rather aggressive and industrious. They also inspired and impressed me with their great aspirations.

The 10th Party Congress of TJU was impressive, inspiring, and encouraging. Representatives and school leaders attended this meeting with a passion and resolution to lead TJU ahead. I feel honored to be invited to witness all of this. I wish TJU would provide better support to its scientific research, introduce more top talents from all over the world, expand international enrollment, strengthen infrastructure, and achieve top world-class university in no time.
