Recently, the Launching Ceremony of the ZH46D Engine Project was held at Tianjin University, marking the marketization and industrialization of this new high-tech product. The Engine, which represents advanced manufacturing, was independently developed by Tianjin University and the China Hi-tech Group Corporation.
Li Jiajun, TJU Party Secretary, Shu Gequn, TJU Deputy Party Secretary, Shang Binyi, Vice Chairman of Tianjin CPPCC and Party Secretary of Dongli District, Kong Dechang, Deputy Party Secretary and Governor of Dongli District, and Zhang Jie, Chairman of the China Hi-tech Group Corporation attended.
Li Jiajun emphasized that in aiming at “Made in China 2025”, innovation is the core and talented people are the foundation for building China into a manufacturing powerhouse. Tianjin University will give full play to its strengths in science and technology innovation and talent cultivation. Furthermore, it will actively set up a “full-chain” engineering talent training system and support national strategies, thus contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of Tianjin’s economic development and promoting China’s innovation-driven development.
Kong Dechang said that the project boasts high technological content and an advanced technical level. It has been another advanced manufacturing representative project developed by the Dongli District. Going forward, the Dongli District government will continue to provide first-class platforms and high-quality services for the development of the Research Institute, and make a positive contribution to the Dongli District and Tianjin.
Advanced agricultural machinery equipment is indispensable for improving agricultural production efficiency, realizing effective resource utilization and promoting the sustainable development of agriculture. It also plays a significant role in safeguarding national food security, transforming the way farmers increase income, and promoting rural development. Moreover, it is one of the key areas of "Made in China 2025".
In December 2015, Tianjin University and the China Hi-tech Group Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The ZH46D high-end intelligent agricultural engine project begun in February 2016. After two years of effort, the ZH46D high-end intelligent agricultural engine prototype was successfully developed. It is anticipated that upon achieving industrialization, the project will help promote the localization of non-road engine key components and the advancement of non-road engine technology.
The ZH46D engine project is a non-road diesel engine with the design specifications of environmental protection, reliability, intelligence, professionalism, high efficiency, and quietness. It is a diesel engine series product of an international advanced level in the field of agricultural machinery in China. In the early stages, the project targeted at developing a diesel engine with a four-cylinder displacement of 4.6 liters which employed four-valve, high-pressure common rail and high-pressure injection, supercharged intercooling, and DPF technology. The discharge of the engine reached the fourth stage of the national non-road engine standard and the performance indexes places it in a leading position in China. In the future, on this basis, the project will gradually expand its development into three-cylinder, four-cylinder, and six-cylinder diesel engine series products. The products will be put into use in the field of non-road applications, which will promote the technological advancement of non-road engines and enhance China's non-road engine competitiveness and overall strength.
