Polytech Nice Sophia Students exchange at Tianjin University

On April 3, Tianjin International Engineering Institute of Tianjin University (TIEI) held a welcome party for Polytech Nice Sophia students from France. 

The France students came to TIEI for an exchange project. The opening-up policy and the international atmosphere of TIEI enabled students to learn many different cultures, which is essential for students’ development in the context of economic globalization nowadays.  

In the party, TIEI reporters held an interview with the overseas exchange students. When asked about their impression of China and TJU, they said that they are very happy to live in China and study in TIEI. “Here, we can experience Chinese traditional culture, gain more knowledge different from France and we are very happy to make friends with Chinese teachers and classmates. We are very thankful for their help”. 

Then the party went to interactive section, TIEI overseas students sang a French song. On behalf of TIEI faculty members, Liu Zongxin welcomed the overseas students, sang an English song. TIEI students Wang Di and Xue Tengyun sang a Chinese song together named “Cheng Du” to welcome the overseas students arriving at TIEI and sent the best wishes to them. Then, students from both sides played interesting games together. The game round not only intensified communication with the seven overseas students, but also bring relationship closer. 

This welcome party aimed to help the overseas students adapt to the new environment at TIEI. Finally, TIEI members sincerely hope that the exchange students have a great time and memorable experience at TIEI.
