Tianjin University was awarded the Outstanding Organization Award at the “China Postgraduate Innovation and Practice Competition” conference held in April at the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
The “China Postgraduate Innovation and Practice Competition” was jointly sponsored by the Degree and Postgraduate Education Center of the Ministry of Education and the Youth Science and Technology Center of the China Association for Science and Technology. It aims to develop a cooperative innovation platform for schools and enterprises, create a good atmosphere for postgraduate innovation, enhance the ability of postgraduates to practice innovative research, and improve the quality of postgraduate education. The Competition includes nine thematic events such as the National Graduate Mathematical Modeling Contest and the China Graduate Electronic Design Contest. Since it was first held in 2013, it has become an influential, nationwide graduate student competition.
Since the founding of the competition, Tianjin University has actively participated and organized graduate student teams every year. TJU also successfully hosted the Eleventh National Graduate Mathematics Modeling Contest in 2014. Tianjin University's excellent organizing work has been affirmed by the Organizing Committee of the competition by being awarded the Outstanding Organization Award.
In order to improve the creative ability of graduate students, Tianjin University actively encourages and supports graduate students to participate in all kinds of national postgraduate innovation competition activities by strengthening the training and providing financial support for the teams.
With the opening of the conference, the preparation for the 2018 China Graduate Innovation Practice Series Competition will get underway.
