Emergency Ambulance Training Course held by TJU and Red Cross

The School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (SPST) of Tianjin University banded together with the Nankai District Red Cross to hold an emergency ambulance training course from April 8th to 12th.  

The vice-standing president of The Red Cross of Nankai District Wang Jianhua and office director Qi Hailin, attended the opening ceremony. The Party secretary of SPST Feng Cuiling, faculty members, and students from SPST took part in the training. 

The training contained theoretical learning and practical application sessions, and covered different applications including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, wound dressing and hemostasis, drowning rescue and coping approaches towards common emergencies and accidents.  

The Red Cross representative presented the significance of first-aid using real-life cases and pictures, then teaching the specific methods via employment of dummies. Students could practice cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and wound dressing with the guidance of Red Cross trainers. 

The students grasped the simple but useful methods of first-aid, self-rescue and buddy aid after the training, which greatly enhanced their capacity to handle emergencies. Meanwhile, the training fostered consideration and social. The trainees would also act as representatives in the further publicity and education of the first-aid skills.
