The 2018 National College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit and the 12th KAB Entrepreneurship Education Annual Meeting was held in Chongqing on April 23. Shi Quanbin, a doctoral student from the TJU School of Environmental Science and Engineering, who has been selected as one of the Top 100 Entrepreneurship Heroes of College Students, was invited to participate in the event.

After becoming a doctoral student in the School of Environmental Science and Engineering in 2013, Shi Quanbin founded Tianjin Huaqing Huanyu Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. in 2015 and assumed the position of general manager. The enterprise is a comprehensive enterprise integrating R&D, production and sales of water treatment equipment and environmental protection purification equipment. Through strategic cooperation with Tianjin University and China Huaye Group, a production, education and research base has been established to realize the market-oriented transformation of production, learning and research. The company was set up in the ‘maker space’ of Tianjin University in 2015 and has won a Silver Award in the 4th National Youth College Business Competition and a Silver Award in the 2nd China Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

The "Searching for College Students Entrepreneurship Heroes" was developed for college undergraduate entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs who had graduated within three years. It has been held for three consecutive years and has become a brand activity for outstanding entrepreneurs. A total of 497 university student entrepreneurs from 253 colleges and universities entered the WeChat special presentation session. The 100 winners were selected by public ballot, online assessments by the heads of entrepreneurial societies in 100 colleges and universities, and on-site assessments by experts.
