On May 17, 2018, the signing ceremony for the establishment of Tianjin Intelligent Aviation Industry Technology Research Institute (Intelligent Aviation Industry Technology Research Institute of Tianjin University) was held in Tianjin.
The Institute was jointly established by the Government of the Tianjin Binhai New Area, the AVIC Trust Co., Ltd., Tianjin University and EFY Intelligent Control (Tianjin) Technology Co., Ltd. It is the first of its kind in Tianjin that integrates “government resources, a university platform, investment funds and technology companies”, forming a research platform of high standard in scientific research, teaching, industry and incubation.
In the context of world’s intelligence economy, the Institute will firmly grasp the trends in the intelligent manufacturing industry, seize the strategic opportunities presented by the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the “Belt and Road Initiative” and pool more advanced technologies and talent. It will fully leverage its strengths in numerous fields including: research in the front-end technology of intelligent aviation, project incubation, technology transformation as well as establishing innovation & entrepreneurship centers to facilitate the transformation and innovative upgrading of traditional aviation manufacturing and the aviation industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
